What do those letters mean?

I primarily compete in American Kennel Club events.
The initials following the dogs names are described below.


Conformation:
CH. bench championship (conformation champion)
I may use a Gr. with a number following which is a group placement

Obedience:
CD-companion dog-beginning level
CDX-Companion dog excellent-intermediate level
UD-Utility degree-highest level
UDX-Utility dog excellent
I may use HIT (High In Trial) while talking about a dog which means a Highest Scoring Dog in any class at an obedience trial.


Tracking:
TD-Tracking dog-beginning level
TDX-Tracking dog excellent-advanced level
VST-Variable surface tracking-Advanced- city search type tracking.

Hunt tests:
JH-Junior Hunter-Beginning level marking and retrieving, delivery to hand, control in blinds and at the line.

Agility:
NA-beginning level-Novice Agility
NAJ-beginning-Novice Agility Jumpers With Weaves
OA-Open Agility-intermediate level
OAJ-Open Agility Jumpers With Weaves-intermediate level
AX-Excellent agility-advanced
AXJ-Excellent jumpers with weaves


Rally Obedience
RN-Rally Novice-beginning level
RA-Rally Advanced-intermediate level
RE-Rally Excellent-Advanced level
RAX- This is number of qualifying scores once you have earnde the rally advanced and rally excellent titles.

Canadian titles:
CAN. CH. means Canadian title then what class-Can. CH. =Canadian Championship
CD obedience
CDX obedience
UD-OTCH Utility degree and OTCH in canada is equal to AKC's utility degree.


NAHRA -North American hunting retriever association.
SR-Started retriever


HIC -Herding Instinct Certificate (ROTTIE and ROUGH COLLIE)

Agility Dogs

Shiner has both his AX and AXJ. He is a very consistant dog, earning his AX in his first three tries!!

































Snickers has both of her excellent titles and will continue in agility in the preferred classes.

































Tum is a fast girl with great lateral distance. She is almost ten now and working in the preferred classes.



















Charm needs one leg on her AXJ andTum She has incredible weaves.
































































Jack was returned to me twice because of family tragedies. The second time he stayed with me. He earned his agility titles in record time!

Bred to maintain a standard of excellence our dogs are versitile as well as having "pretty faces"

Our pedigrees are well rounded with Springwind dogs earning UTILITY titles in obedience, TDX titles in tracking , AX and AXJ titles in agility as well as JH titles in the retriever hunt tests.

We have also bred many bench Champions including multiple group winning dogs and the 2001 RWD at the LRC national specialty out of the 6-9 puppy class. This boy is now showing longevity by earning many JAMS, Best in Specialty Veteran Sweeps and Best veterans in specialty show.

Probably the most important part of our dogs jobs in life are the working service dogs, service dogs in training.

Of course the largest number of our pups go to pet homes and or hunting homes.

We test for The following health clearances. Hips and Elbows-OFA, Eyes-CERF and PRA, Heart-OFA and EIC (excercise induced collapse)

My labradors and our poodles are finally sharing equal time!! My very dear friend Joanne from Forget Me Not poodles has been gracious enough to share her lovely dogs with a novice poodle person.

The lovely black face is our first homebred puppy. She will be shown in a week at her first show.
This trio of labradors are very dear to my heart. Tremor(upper right) Has gone to the bridge to be with Crystal (laying down).
Shaker continues to train the youngsters in her home and she rules my heart!!
